Hello, my name is John Bodziak, and I am the founder of NOAAH. This is my first article in the NOAAH Journal series. In these texts, I will explain how you can design your interiors independently with our service.

WHERE DID THE IDEA FOR NOAAH COME FROM?

For over 20 years, I have been involved in renovating and expanding homes in London, mainly high-end properties for demanding clients.

During these projects, I noticed that some clients used the help of interior designers who worked with them to create the concept of their new home. However, most decided to make the design decisions themselves.

Initially, my role was to work closely with the architect on structural work and room layouts. Over time, however, the clients took over the main role in designing their interiors. I spent long hours with them and could see what they found most challenging.

At first, they were full of enthusiasm, but with each decision and the growing number of key choices, they began to feel pressure and overwhelm. The main problem was that they found it difficult to visualize the final outcome. Sometimes, after completing a stage, they realized that the result did not meet their expectations because it looked different in their imagination. At that point, they had two options: accept the compromise or request modifications, which led to additional costs and delays.

Another issue was time pressure. My team was waiting for decisions, and delays were costly, so clients had to make choices quickly. This often affected the quality of their decisions and made the design process less enjoyable for them.

That’s why I created NOAAH – a service that allows you to plan and see your future home long before the renovation starts.
